Cables and Cable Hardware

You've got several options.

Cables are an integral part of most race vehicles; the unsung heroes of control. When your success depends on the performance of a part, it makes sense to choose the best.

Precise and quick control is what it's all about.

That’s where Pro-Werks comes in - with the trademark Silver Jacket Cables. Whether you are modulating the throttle, grabbing a gear, or pulling your ‘chute; you will probably use a push-pull control cable to do it.

Popular Uses:

Throttle controls
Cable-activated shifters
Valve Actuation/Shutoff
Parachute releases
Remote battery switches
Electrical disconnects
Implement controls
4-Wheel drive activation
Hydrostatic drives
Door and Hood latches

As the Silver Jacket name implies, these 33 series cables come in the trademark silver color - that will compliment any paint color scheme. The flexible housing measures only 0.325" outside diameter.

Maximum Flexibility - Smooth Operation

Fitted with efficient dynamic seals and requiring very little effort, these lightweight cables have a full circle of reinforcement wires to protect and support the inner liner - delivering positive load transfer with minimal lost motion.

Silver Jacket Cables are available with either a Solid Wire core or in our exclusive Ultimate series; featuring an armored flexible multi-strand, Stainless Steel core - the ultimate in cable construction.

Both are ideal for any cable operated application that requires pushing or pulling, and well suited for extreme use environments. Any of these combinations should be considered as upgrade replacements for Teleflex Morse type cables.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I measure for total cable length?
A: Use a flexible ruler and snake it through the intended cable route. The cable length is measured from tip-to-tip of the attaching ends, not the cable housing mounting points.

Q: My cable installation is close to the exhaust system. How do I protect it from the heat?
A: When installing a cable in an excessive heat environment, incorporating a heat deflector shield with adequate air gaps between the heat source and the cable housing is recommended.

Tech Tip

For the most efficient and longest cable operating life it is recommended to install the cable so the heaviest load is in a pulling motion whenever possible.
