How to Measure Dzus Button Grip Length
Grip length is measured from the button rim surface in contact with the surface of the panel (A) to the actual fastened point of the spring (B). Button diameter is (C).

What are Dzus Fasteners?
The Dzus fastener, also known as a turnlock fastener or quick-action panel fastener, is a type of quarter-turn spiral cam lock fastener often used to secure skin panels on aircraft and other high-performance vehicles.
Dzus fasteners are also used to secure doors, and plates that require frequent removal for inspection and servicing. These twist lock fasteners are unique with their "over-center" design, requiring positive sustained torque to unfasten. Any minor vibration disturbance to the fastener will tend to correct itself rather loosening.
These specialty turnlock fasteners are available in different styles and sizes, and are typically referred to by a manufacturer's trade name. Some of the most common are names used are Dzus, Camloc, and Airloc. (occasionally misspelled as Zeus fastener.)
